These are pictures from my experiences preparing for my career in dietetics. I shadowed US Army RDs at Brian Allgood Community Army Hospital at Yongsan Army base, Seoul, South Korea. While working with the Army RDs I researched and delivered several presentations and nutrition workshops (sleep hygiene, food and drug interactions, 2 gram sodium therapeutic diet, heart-healthy diet). Moreover, I assisted in nutrition workshops under the RDs (Fit for Performance, Day for Kids, ServSafe). During the months shadowing, I also created a nutrition display case based on HBO's Game of Thrones, observed the hospital kitchen operations, completed kitchen inspections, shadowed during inpatient/outpatient visits, and performed diet recalls under the guidance of the RD. I also have experience in food service working in a middle school in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea. The middle school served roughly 1,000 students and staff during lunch-time. While assisting, I helped and observed procurement, receiving, storage, production, and serving. Additionally, I completed numerous labs involving food production as part of my academic coursework in NHM 374 (Quantity Food Production and Service).
